Main Street Construction
The vision for the Bridgeland Main Streets project is to build a streetscape that includes well-designed, quality public realm elements and public space, that prioritize the pedestrian experience and will support ongoing redevelopment and a thriving economic environment. Once complete, it will offer a variety of safe, accessible mobility connections, new community gathering spaces, and a uniquely Bridgeland character.
Specifically, the community will see:
- Widened sidewalks.
- More plants and trees.
- New street lighting along the road and sidewalks.
- New crosswalks with pedestrian ramps complete with high-visibility tactile plates to help those with vision loss at intersections.
- Additional/upgraded pedestrian crossing signals at several intersections. Changes to intersection traffic stop controls on 2 Avenue N.E.
- New public street furniture including waste & recycling bins, bike racks and benches.

While working on 1st Ave this past week, Enmax uncovered these trolly tracks.
A Small Bar in the heart of Bridgeland, built for the people of this neighbourhood and beyond. It’s an every-person bar, where all are welcome. Our mission is to make things easy, comfortable, inclusive, and fun.
Small Bar is built upon what was formerly Cannibale Bar. It was a place that was important to us, and to the community. To the staff and guests who made it special, we’re forever grateful.
Small Bar is something new, but the essence remains the same: a neighbourhood bar, built for you.
